The Compliances Settings Tab has a set of useful settings that can help you with certain legal requirements.

The Compliance Settings option has a set of useful settings that can help you with certain legal requirements. WPLegalPages has five compliance settings options:

  1. Add Legal Pages links to footer

  2. Announcement banner for legal pages.

  3. Cookie bar

  4. Add age verification popup (Pro)

  5. Create popups (Pro)

  1. ADD LEGAL PAGES LINK TO THE FOOTER

This feature allows you to display links to your legal pages in the footer section of your website.

Select the WPLegalPages option in the left side panel from your WordPress dashboard. Click on Settings.

In the settings page, click on the Compliances tab.

You will see the compliance settings options here. Now, click on the ‘Configure’ button in the ‘Add Legal Pages Link to the Footer’ section, to access the settings.

Here, you can enable this option by clicking on the ‘Enabled’ toggle button.

Click on the drop-down box of legal pages and select the pages that need to be added to the footer.

You can play around with settings like background color, font, text color, text alignment, etc., and add custom CSS code to the provided selectors.

You can also change the links’ order using the drag and drop feature.

Finally, click on the ‘Save’ button to save the changes.

2. ANNOUNCEMENT BANNER FOR LEGAL PAGES

This feature allows you to display announcement banners on your website whenever any legal pages have been updated. In the Settings page under the compliance tab, click on the ‘Configure’ button in the ‘Announcement banner for legal pages’ section to access the settings.

Click on the ‘Enabled’ toggle button to enable this feature. You can also change the position, type, and duration of the announcement bar.

In the 'Message' option, type the message that you want to be displayed on the announcement banner.

If you want to display messages for multiple updated pages, type those messages in the ‘Message for multiple updated pages’ option.

Type the text you want to show to close the banner.

You can play around with settings like background color, font, text color, link color, etc., and custom CSS code to the provided selectors.

Finally, click on the ‘Save’ button to save the changes.

After configuring both the settings, click on the ‘Save Changes’ button to save all changes.

3. COOKIE BAR

This feature makes it easy to add a Cookie Bar to your WordPress website. In the Settings page under the compliance tab, click on the ‘Configure’ button in the ‘Cookie Bar’ section to access the settings.

Enable the cookie bar, switch the toggle ON.

Next, add a title to the cookie bar. You can add the message you want to appear on the cookie bar in the next section. You can also customize the bar, change the background color, text color, button color, button text color, link color, etc., according to your preference. Or, you can use your theme's CSS just by switching on the ‘Use Theme CSS’ toggle button. Finally, click the 'Save' button to save the changes.

4. ADD AGE VERIFICATION POPUP

Using this feature, you can put a pop-up to restrict users below a particular age from entering your website.

In the Settings page under the compliance tab, click on the ‘Configure’ button in the ‘Add Age Verification popup’ section to access the settings.

Here, you can switch on the ‘Enabled’ toggle button the enable this feature.

You can choose to verify the age of guests or all visitors.

Next, add a minimum age of verification for the visitors.

You can also choose between the two verification display options of ‘Yes/No Buttons’ or ‘Input Date of Birth.’

Add text for buttons if you’ve selected the ‘Yes/No Buttons’ under ‘Verification Display Option’.

Now, add the verification message for the popup under ‘Verification Pop-up Description.’

Finally, add a message to display on the popup if the visitor doesn’t fulfil the age requirement under the ‘Invalid Age Pop-up Content.’

Don’t forget to click on the ‘Save’ button to save the changes.

5. CREATE POPUPS

Click on the ‘Enable’ button in the ‘Create Popups’ section to add popup messages to your website.

After enabling this option, you can see a ‘Create Popups’ option on the left side panel.

Under this page, you can type the message in the editor that needs to be displayed as a popup.

You can also add the Legal Pages on popups by selecting a template using the dropdown menu under ‘Use Template Shortcode.’

After selecting the template, copy and paste the generated shortcode to the editor.

Now, add a title to the popup and click on the ‘Save’ button to generate the shortcode.

You can find the generated shortcode in the ‘Available Popup’ section at the top of the page. Copy that shortcode and paste it into the necessary posts. In this way, you could add popups to the posts.

After enabling all the settings, click on the ‘Save Changes’ button to save all changes.

Your legal pages compliance settings are now configured.
